In the last 12 months there have been more than 380,000 new start-ups which demonstrates a strong step towards economic recovery.
“It is also an exciting time for the technology and communications industry as there is an important shift going on that will eventually determine which businesses and providers continue to be successful. Fortunately, the team
at Elite and I continue to be on the ball when it comes to the evolving scope of the tech industry, recognising that businesses now want more for less in terms of Cloud services and next generation communications.”
He continues: “I am glad the awards are recognising the entrepreneurial spirit and this change in British culture and I am very pleased to be a part of this. I’m delighted to be up against some of the best in the business and wish everyone luck at the awards this November.”
Matt set up Elitetele.com PLC from his bedroom in 2000, now the company employs over 85 staff and turns over circa £30million pa. Elite has offices in Lancashire, London, Derby and Madrid and counts Alton Towers, The London Eye, P&O Ferries and one third of the Premier League amongst its clients.
Matt’s latest business venture, Cuppaco.com, is the UK’s leading independent online tea and coffee supplier, specialising in gourmet blends and high end appliances. Cuppaco.com, which recently celebrated its first birthday, has already been ranked in the top three online UK tea and coffee suppliers alongside John Lewis and Selfridges.
Matt says his secret to success is to ‘just keep going,’ as he confirms that his ultimate goal is to continue to build financially secure and successful businesses. He finishes: ‘it’s not about making money – it’s all about the journey! If you chase success, the money will follow.”
The Great British Entrepreneur Awards 2013 will take place on Tuesday 19th November at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London. A panel of 33 judges will use their own entrepreneurial expertise to help recognise the leaders of today.
