2014-04-23 23:51:09 - Normal Gadgets, the cellphone-smartphone-tablet repair shop based in Bloomington, has donated 22 cleaned & refurbished call phones to CDV/Neville House.
The phones were collected through donations from Bloomington/Normal residents over the past few months.
Normal Gadgets asks Bloomington/Normal residents to help those assisted by the Neville House in donating gently used cell phones. By donating to Normal Gadgets, who in turn cleans, electronically wipes and refurbishes the phones for Twin City residents assisted by Neville House, families have a usable
device in emergency 911 occasions.
“A 911 cell phone can mean the moments between life and death in a violent relationship.” said Angie Ballantini from Normal Gadgets. “Understanding that Normal Gadgets is in a unique position in being able to clean and repair donated cell phones, allows us the compassion to fix them up and get them to those in need.
We continue to believe in assisting those in need and thank the residents of Bloomington/Normal in making these donations.”
Phones and components that cannot be refurbished are dismantled and responsibly recycled to reclaim materials.
Residents can continue to donate their used phones to Normal Gadgets located at:
2103 North Veterans Parkway
