Noranda Announces Completion of Senior Secured Term Loan Increase, Closing of $175 Million Notes Offering

Franklin,  Tennessee  -  March 8, 2013  -  Noranda  Aluminum Holding Corporation
("Noranda"  or the "Company") (NYSE: NOR)  today announced that Noranda
Aluminum
Acquisition  Corporation  ("AcquisitionCo"),  its  wholly-owned  subsidiary, has
completed  its previously announced  private offering of  $175 million aggregate
principal amount of senior unsecured notes due 2019 (the "Notes").  Noranda also
announced  today  that  AcquisitionCo  entered  into  an  incremental  term loan
facility  in the  amount of  $110 million  under its  existing term  loan credit
agreement (the "New Loans").  The New Loans will also mature in 2019.

AcquisitionCo  will use the net proceeds from  the offering of the Notes and 
the New Loans to fund the redemption of all of its outstanding Senior Floating Rate Notes due 2015 (the "Redemption"), representing an aggregate principal amount of approximately $275.3 million as of the date hereof, with the balance to be used for general corporate purposes.  The Redemption, which will occur on April 7, 2013, was called today and will be made pursuant to the redemption terms and notice provisions of the indenture governing the Senior Floating Rate Notes due 2015.
