2008-03-09 22:41:04 - It sounds like a joke, but according to UK Glamour it’s definitely not.

The magazine reports that American Idol judge Simon Cowell (the mean one, not the drunk) was offered a $2 million dollar contract to be the “face” of Viagra last year. The 48-year-old turned it down without hesitation.


“I just said, sorry, but that has to be a (insert expletive here) insult,” Cowell told the British mag. Apparently he was highly

offended. Surprising since I didn’t think he had any feelings at all. I certainly didn’t think he’d find that embarrassing since he’s already admitted to wearing platform shoes AND to using Botox. Oh well, to each his own, I guess. I just hope he doesn’t expect the company to keep sending him his free samples.


On a side note, Simon has also told the New York Post that his (poor, poor) girlfriend Terri Seymour (the Extra correspondent) should never expect an engagement ring. Simon doesn’t believe in marriage, saying that it’s over in a year or two and then they “clean you out.”


To be perfectly honest, I think the woman is a saint for putting up with him for FIVE years and she deserves a little “something something.” If anything, she should at replace his Viagra with placebos when she hits the door running.
