New Kids on the Block are to perform in a concert cruise. The reformed group - Jordan and Jon Knight, Donny Wahlberg, Danny Wood and Joey McIntyre - will travel from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to the Bahamas from

15-18 May. Joey said: "Our manager tells us this is not a cheesy thing, this is not a step back." In addition to performing several shows and meeting and greeting fans, the band are planning to get involved in every aspect of holidaying on a ship. Joey jokingly added: "We're not going to be drinking pina coladas, we'll be serving them!" Both Jordan and Danny celebrate their birthdays around the time of the cruise, and so have dubbed the trip the "birthday cruise". Jordan said: "I'll be looking for presents." Donnie added: "You know, you come on a cruise with us... you never know what's going to happen." Tickets for the cruise are on sale now.
