NK honored as Corporate Citizen of the Year by NJBIZ and Volunteer of the Year by Morristown Neighborhood House
Morristown, NJ—NK Architects was named Corporate Citizen of the Year during the 2012 NJ BIZ Business of the Year annual awards dinner, held the evening of Monday, December 3 at The Palace in Somerset, New Jersey. These awards honor outstanding contributions to the New Jersey business community, recognizing an elite group of businesses and business leaders who have proven themselves as “the shining stars of New Jersey,” according to NJ BIZ. The panel of judges noted that “community service is tightly wrapped into the fabric of NK Architects. Its founders, who launched the firm in 1972, infused it with a spirit of compassion, generosity and community.” NK’s philanthropic efforts focus on what the firm sees as the four most fundamental
human needs: food, shelter, knowledge and care.
Just the week before, NK was honored as Volunteer of the Year at The Morristown Neighborhood House’s 16th Annual Gala. The Neighborhood House is the oldest and largest settlement house in Morris County, with a mission to promote community stability and economic growth by helping transition immigrant families into their communities. The organization fosters cross-cultural awareness and assists working and impoverished families to maximize their educational, social, physical and economic potential through numerous programs, serving an average of 1,500 children and adults every day.
