BILL NIGHY is snubbing squid after playing octopus-faced pirate ghoul DAVY JONES in PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN'S CHEST - as he now sees the tentacled creatures as "brethren".
The British actor has felt a special sympathy for the marine life-forms ever since he started shooting the blockbuster, and refuses to eat calamari ever again.
He says, "Squid are my people now.
"So I don't eat calamari any more. They are my brethren."
