www.neways.com - In response to accelerating worldwide growth, Neways International announced today it opened a new state-of-the-art display showroom and warehouse facility directly behind the company's iconic corporate headquarters in Springville. This is the first retail-style showroom in the United States, and is patterned after the successful showroom created for Neways Distributors in Japan.
While the building's outer shell
was originally constructed several years ago, it wasn't finished inside until the company's executive management team decided on the specifics of technologically advanced interior. To commence this final phase of construction, a ceremony was held on May 30. Springville Mayor Gene Mangum, Council member Ben Jolly, and 50 Neways Distributors from around the United States joined company executives for the event.
It was a unique "groundbreaking" event, since ground was originally broken at the beginning of construction in 2004. However, the company "broke ground" on several fronts with completion of the facility. Neways President and CEO Eric Larsen said, "The new warehouse gives us state-of-the-art distribution opportunities, the retail showroom is the first in the nation and opens new doors for Neways Distributors, and we're actually breaking ground for new landscaping which will tie the building together on our Neways Campus here in Springville."
Neways COO Brian Slobodow added, "This massive building will allow us to consolidate several operations into one location. We'll use this warehouse to do all our bulk shipping to Neways locations worldwide, as well as individual product orders to our distributors. We'll also use it to assemble product kits and other promotional items."
The 305,000-square-foot warehouse facility features laser-leveled cement floors that will allow high-speed wire-guided turret trucks to move efficiently among the storage racks, which will rise 28 feet tall with five levels and room for 10,000 pallets. Replacing the current warehouse facility located in Spanish Fork, the new warehouse will ship over 100 ocean-going containers around the world each month, in addition to thousands of individual packages on a daily basis.
