2009-06-16 08:42:54 - Software company telepark today unveiled a new version of its business wiki software for collaborative project management. The web collaboration software is designed to help small and medium-sized businesses manage projects with the lowest technical overhead -- the main features include granular User permissions and notifications, Interactive web apps like dynamic ToDo Lists, Order management and an AJAX-powered development API.

"Our clients, who range from medical research labs to consulting and IT development companies, must be able to track projects in real time, anywhere, 24/7. Relying only on Excel spreadsheets, email, and conference calls, no longer makes sense in today’s highly mobile business arena,” explains Patrick Thomas, founder and lead developer at telepark. “In light of this, we created a

new feature-rich, business-grade wiki software that is easy to deploy, raises productivity and even makes project management fun with the lowest possible overhead — of course that all depends on your idea of fun, but the wiki certainly makes work much more effective.”

Not just project management software

By incorporating several new project management features, telepark’s business wiki intuitively solves many time/cost-consuming problems facing companies today. Teams may now collaborate on projects anytime and anywhere, access/edit up to the minute versions of project docs (no more circulating email clogging files) and any team member can publish web page(s) or sites in minutes without having to rely on web developers or IT. The MS Office-style interface is unique in it’s familiarity and ease of use and makes telepark.wiki’s learning curve flat for most users.

"Today’s global, get-it-done-yesterday office means super detailed tasks, lots of partners, suppliers, customers and team members often working on sliding deadlines. This is a tall order for even hardcore multitaskers. Never fear! The telepark.wiki puts all project details together in an easy-to-manage web environment that will make your company run smoother at a lower cost and with less resources. Subsequently you focus more on sales and making customers happy, which is of course the name of the game because they pay your bills," Thomas says.

Dynamic ToDo List feature

One of the most important new features are interactive ToDo Lists offering teams very fine-grained notifications, target dates, status changes, priority sorting, uploading of documents and screenshots; all with the lowest overhead cost in the industry.

The low cost business wiki, free for single users, is easily installed on any PHP server. Most businesses feel strongly about security, e.g. uploading mission-critical data to a third party server. Therefore, telepark’s wiki is software as a product and installed on the customers own server in minutes.

Productivity tools incorporated in the telepark business wiki include:

- Flexible Web-Application for Intranet and Project Specific Websites
- MS Office®-style GUIs
- User, Group and Permissions management
- Programmable Application Platform for custom solution creation

The latest version of the telepark business wiki also offers:

- EAA for Developers API
- Embedded AJAX applications can be developed in the telepark.wiki.
- Built in SEO functionality

New Project Management features:

- Business Modules “ToDo List” and “Order Management”
- ToDo List actually does much more than the name suggests
- Notifications, status changes, priority sorting, uploading of documents and screenshots
- Very fine-grained notifications
- Target dates
- Managing orders which are “in acquisition” (sales pipeline), “in progress” (on-going projects) and “in payment” (invoices)

Download the free Single-User version of telepark.wiki at www.telepark.com. Simply upload the installation files via your FTP. System requirements: PHP 4.3+
