2012-11-13 23:46:01 - Ayrshire Scotland, 13 November 2012--Leading Ayrshire restaurateur Mafiz Ali has announced that he has appointed local chef Barry Cornes to join his top culinary team at Ayr Spice Indian Restaurant in Minishant, Ayrshire.

Mafiz has recruited Barry specifically to work with him on preparing a special new Scottish menu for the Christmas and New Year festive season.

Mafiz explained: “Popular and much loved as our Indian / Bangladeshi menu is, many our our regular diners might prefer to choose more traditional Scottish food during the festive season of Christmas and New Year.

“So I have recruited local chef Barry Cornes to join our team, and together we have concocted a special Scottish menu, which will be available at Ayr Spice from 1st December until 2nd January.”

Ayr Spice Indian Cuisine can be found in the fine old red sandstone Memorial church at the entrance to the picturesque village of Minishant, 5 miles south of Ayr on the A77. The church was erected by the thread magnate Sir Peter Coats of nearby Auchendrane, in loving memory of his wife Glorianna, who died in 1877.
