A new range of household cleaning equipment from Bentley Brushware using advanced antibacterial technology from Microban is being launched into a number of well-known German supermarket chains.
Norma, Fegro Selgros, Scharper, Metro Group and Globus will all be carrying the new “Clean and Green” products following a deal with distributor HVG.
The range consists of more than a dozen cleaning products including dish brush, dustpan and brush, squeegee, mitt, mop bucket, strip mop, toilet brush, spray mop 2-in1, flat mop and broom.
On untreated products, bacteria can potentially double in number in 20 minutes but the Microban zinc and silver based technologies used in the Bentley product range disrupt their functioning, killing up to 99.9% of bacteria on the treated surface. This prevents
stains, odours and general product deterioration. The antibacterial technology also helps keeps the Bentley squeegees and scourers hygienic between uses.
Charles Bentley, managing director at Bentley Brushware said: “The Clean and Green range is the result of working very closely with Microban on an innovative cleaning equipment range, and we are very pleased to see that it will become widely available in Germany.
“The level of technology on offer is very impressive, because the antibacterial protection is built into each item in the range during manufacturing, providing round the clock protection against damaging microbes such as bacteria, mould and mildew.”
Bentley Brushware is the UK’s leading supplier of cleaning equipment, based in Loughborough and with offices in North America and Hong Kong alongside factories in Sri Lanka and China.
Microban International is headquartered in Huntersville, North Carolina, United States, and has Asian offices based in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, a South American office in Brazil and a European office in the United Kingdom.
