2008-04-10 21:08:40 - How I Met Your Mother Not Returning To TV?

Although the CBS show 'How I Met Your Mother' had great pr when Britney Spears made a cameo. The show is struggling with ratings and may be axed.

When Hollyscoop caught up with the show's star Neil Patrick Harris as he promoted his latest flick Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay, we couldn't help but ask if the women

who gave the show it's biggest buzz would return. Neil said, "I'm not sure with only 4 episodes left of season 3 and an unsure question mark whether we're going to have a 4th season."

If there might not be a season, we wanted to know if there would be anything special for the season finale.

"I'm hearing rumblings of a dramatic twist at the end, but they keep us pretty clear of what happens, not because they worry about us spoiling anything, but they change their ideas all the time up until the very last minute. So, they don't want to tell us, "Oh you're going to love what happens next week," and then the studio nixes it and then they have to come and.."Oh, you know that awesome thing we told you about? You're not gonna get to do it."

Rumor on the Hollywood block is that this show might not make it. But no worries if you are a big fan of the man, who created the character "Doogie Howser", check him out in his latest flick which hits theatres in April 25, 2008.
