Popular NBC soap star Jason Cook is returning to daytime, but on rival network ABC.

When Cook appears on General Hospital, viewers may recognize him as Shawn Brady, a role that he played on Days of our Lives from October of 1996 to September of 2006, when his contract expired.

While on Days, he played one-half of the young supercouple called Shelle. The role of his girlfriend Belle was played by a current General Hospital actress, Kirsten Storms.

There haven't been many details about Cook's new role, aside from the fact that he'll be a doctor on staff at the soap's hospital. Rumor has it that his scenes will start airing this month and that he will cross paths with former co-star

Kirsten Storms. There is no word on if the will be romantically involved, althought fans have hinted at interest in just that.
