- MyHollywood.com - the women's web destination for celebrity and entertainment news, casual games, fashion and community - has unveiled its 2008 Emmy Awards coverage plans, headlined by red carpet legends Joan and Melissa Rivers.

The Rivers pact marks a mainstream milestone for MyHollywood.com, as the company has been quietly building a grassroots worldwide online audience by delivering a

mix of breaking entertainment gossip and commentary, fashion news, female-oriented casual games, community forums and online shopping since its beta launch this summer. The mother and daughter duo will add to their unbroken streak of red carpet fashion commentary around Hollywood's biggest awards shows with a special report to be filed from MyHollywood.com's production studio on Emmy night.

"We have given Joan and Melissa total freedom to leave a permanent mark on this year's Emmy red carpet," said Joey Carson, CEO of MyHollywood.com. "Over the years, they have set the standard for red carpet fashion reviews by continually pushing the limits on television. On the web and on MyHollywood.com, I fully expect them to take their act to a whole new level."

The Red Carpet Review will be featured on MyHollywood.com on Sunday, September 21st shortly after the Awards get under way. The five-minute webisode will feature Joan and Melissa's refreshingly candid "best dressed" comments, as well as their fiercely funny "worst dressed" barbs and the Ooooh! Shoe Review. The Ooooh! Shoe Review portion of the show will highlight interactive links to online shoe retailer Zappos.com, which was among the first brands to be featured within MyHollywood content. Leading up to awards night, MyHollywood.com will feature a collection of exclusive countdown content.

"We are back on the red carpet with MyHollywood.com and giving our fans what they love, shockingly candid commentary on red carpet fashion," said Joan Rivers. "There will be glamour, excitement, and, of course, amusing remarks on the hottest celebrities' sexy fashion smashes and tragic crashes."

"It makes perfect sense for us to be trailblazers on the ever-growing internet which will allow us expanded freedom and creativity," noted Melissa Rivers. "We are thrilled to be a part of MyHollywood.com."

Either individually or as a team, Joan and Melissa Rivers have covered the red carpets for the Oscars, Emmys, Grammys, Golden Globes, and more including broadcast television outlets E! Entertainment, TV Guide Channel, CBS, NBC and numerous others. Earlier this year, they began their transition to the digital entertainment world during the Oscars, with a successful Oscar Red Carpet Rundown for AOL where they dished on the good, the bad, and especially the ugly, with their finely honed brand of fashion insights cut with wisecracks.
