2012-09-07 23:07:04 - Larry W. Myers, president and chief executive officer of First Savings Bank, FSB, Clarksville, has been elected 2013 Second Vice Chairman of the board of directors of the Indiana Bankers Association (IBA).

Myers Elected IBA Second Vice Chairman for 2013

He currently serves IBA as southeast region board director and as a member of the Government Relations Committee. Myers was elected to his new position at the IBA’s annual business meeting on Sept. 10 in French Lick, Ind., and will take office effective Jan. 1, 2013.

In addition to serving First Savings Bank, FSB, as president/CEO, Myers serves on the bank’s board of directors and as president of the First Savings Charitable Foundation. He joined the bank in 2005 as Chief Operating officer and was named to his current position in 2006. He previously had served since 1982 with National City Bank, most recently as area president of southern Indiana. Myers is a

member of the St. Louis Federal Reserve Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council, and has been active with the American Bankers Association on the community bank council and past member of the mutual council. He serves the community through Boy Scouts of America and One Southern Indiana-Chamber of Commerce. A certified trust financial adviser, Myers has Series 7 and Series 66 licenses. He earned bachelors and MBA degrees from the University of Kentucky and completed the Graduate School of Banking of the South and the Cannon Trust School.
