On May 13th from 7-9 p.m. Ted Kerasote will be on hand for a fun and entertaining book signing event with his book 'Merle's Door'-a People magazine recommended summer read for 2007. Ted Kerasote's writing has appeared in more than fifty periodicals, including Audubon, National Geographic Traveler, Outside, Salon, and the New York Times. His most recent book, Out There: In the Wild in a Wired Age, won the National Outdoor Book Award. To learn more about Ted Kerasote and his books, visit his website at www.kerasote.com . On May 31 at 2 p.m. get your copy of 'Best Hikes with Dogs Colorado' personally signed by author Ania Savage. Paw-ticipants will be able to see maps and a 30 min. visual presentation followed by a Q & A session about the numerous hiking opportunities in Colorado. Ania Savage has worked as a reporter and editor for a number of news organizations, including Time-Life and The Rocky Mountain News. Her writing has been honored with several awards, including that of a finalist for the National Magazine Award, essay category, in 1993 and a finalist for the Colorado Book Award, nonfiction category in 2001. Her articles have also appeared in The New York Times, USA Today and Parade. Tasty southwestern snacks and refreshing beverages will be provided by Island's.
