MuniMae Considering Strategic Alternatives

- Municipal Mortgage & Equity, LLC (OTC: MMAB) ("MuniMae" or "the Company,") announced today that it is considering strategic alternatives to enhance shareholder value, including but not limited to the raising of capital through the sale or recapitalization of business units and additional asset sales. The Company has been working with Lazard Ltd. on this process.

In making the announcement, MuniMae stated that there is no assurance that the exploration of strategic alternatives will result in any transaction. The Company does not intend to disclose developments with respect to the exploration of strategic alternatives unless and until its Board of Directors has approved a specific transaction.

MuniMae and its subsidiaries arrange debt and equity financing

for developers and owners of real estate and clean energy projects. The Company also provides investment management and advisory services for institutional investors.
