Mr. Blair & Colleagues Received Note of Thanks From High Steel Structures, Inc., for Work on the MD I-95/I-695 Section 100 Interchange Reconstruction Project.

2009-02-13 18:09:31 - Michael Blair, P.E., a senior associate at Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson (JMT) and other Structural Engineers from JMT's York, Pennsylvania office were honored with a letter of appreciation Monday night at the Association for Bridge Construction and Design (ABCD) Susquehanna Chapter meeting.

Mr. Blair and his colleagues received the letter from Jeffrey Sterner, P.E., president of High Steel Structures, Inc., for their excellent work on the MD I-95/I-695 Section 100 interchange reconstruction project currently underway in Baltimore County, Maryland.

JMT and High Steel presented at the Harrisburg ABCD chapter dinner meeting on the structural engineering aspects of the interchange reconstruction earlier in the evening.

JMT developed the planning, preliminary and final design for Section 100 of the I-95 Reconstruction project. This $875 million project involves three major interchanges and interstate design which will implement the latest technologies in Traffic and ITS Management.

JMT prepared preliminary layouts of bridge structures in a complex network of multilevel interchange design at the I-695

& I-895 interchanges involving many elevated structures for the directional ramps. The preliminary structural design work included superstructure types, span arrangements, pier location and sizes and phased construction. JMT prepared final design for 22 bridges, 30 retaining walls, 6 noise barriers and 5 culverts in the I-695/I-95 interchange.
