FINDLAY, Ohio, Jan. 9, 2013 - MPLX LP (NYSE: MPLX), a master limited partnership
recently formed by Marathon Petroleum Corporation (NYSE: MPC), announced today
that it will host a conference call on Wednesday, Jan. 30, at 2 p.m. EST to
provide an update on company operations and to discuss 2012 fourth-quarter
financial results, which will be released earlier that day.

MPLX participants will be Gary Heminger, chairman of the board and chief
executive officer; Garry Peiffer, president; and Don Templin, vice president and
chief financial officer. The call will be hosted by Pam Beall, vice president,
Investor Relations.
