2013-09-28 00:00:10 - Legends of Motown starring Horizon to appear at the Schauer Arts & Activities Center in Hartford, WI
The era of Motown will come alive at the Schauer Arts & Activities Center on Friday, October 25 at 2:00 and 7:30 pm. Straight out of Detroit, Legends of Motown starring Horizon recreates the high-energy sound of favorites like Step into the Bad Side, Ain’t No Stoppin Us Now, and Celebration.
Dressed in classic Motown style, Rick Ingram, Prentiss "Smoke" Jones, and Earl Vinson were handpicked for their voices, dancing ability, and humor. Accompanied by drums, guitar, and keyboard/bass synthesizer, their obvious love for the music combines to catapult Motown back to its glory days. Whether Horizon is singing the music of The Spinners, Smokey Robinson, Marvin Gaye, or Earth, Wind & Fire, it’s as if the original group has stopped
by for a visit.
Horizon gained notoriety with their hit Swing Engine and were even spotted in a clip on The Tonight Show hosted by Jay Leno. They have shared the stage with legendaries such as The Temptations and The Four Tops and were also featured in Business Week Magazine and on John Sally’s The Best Damn Sports Show Period, harmonizing a special Super Bowl greeting to Detroit.
The evening performance will be preceded by a free SoundBites from 6:30-7:00 pm. Advance reservations recommended to guarantee seating. In addition, there will be a free art gallery reception from 6:30-7:30 pm for Light Catcher’s Photography Club. Guests will have an opportunity to meet the artists and view the exhibit.
