- Dan Mongeon was named CEO of Agility Defense & Government Services (DGS), the company that supplies most of the food for U.S. troops in Iraq and Kuwait and provides logistics services to the U.S. military, the State Department, the United Nations and other customers.
Mongeon, a retired U.S. Army major general, has been president of Agility DGS since
June 2006 and will continue in that role. He also has been named to the management board of Agility, the parent of Agility DGS.
Mongeon succeeds Toby Switzer, who will become an advisor to Agility, focusing on overall strategy and policy.
Mongeon joined Agility, formerly PWC Logistics, in 2006 after 34 years in the Army. He is former director of operations at the Defense Logistics Agency in Fort Belvoir, Va. He also served as deputy chief of staff for logistics, U.S. Armed Forces Command at Fort McPherson, Ga., and was commander of the Defense Supply Center in Philadelphia.
Mongeon is a graduate of the University of Arizona and holds a masters in logistics management from the University of Arkansas. He attended the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and the U.S. Army War College. He sits as a subject-matter expert on the advisory boards of Boyle Transportation and the Center of Excellence in Logistics & Technology (LOGTECH) at the Institute for Defense & Business, which is affiliated with the University of North Carolina.
