Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NASDAQ: LVLT) today announced that it has been selected to provide VoIP enhanced local services (ELS) for Momentum Telecom, which provides private-label residential and business digital voice solutions.

Under the contract, Momentum will consolidate the majority of its local service traffic on Level 3’s network, thereby allowing Momentum to streamline its business. With Level 3 VoIP ELS, customers like Momentum can deliver IP-based local and long-distance communications services to residential and business customers using broadband connections. This solution enables a quick-to-market, cost-effective and high-quality VoIP primary-line replacement service.

Momentum provides wholesale, turn-key digital voice service to more than 140 independent cable operators and municipalities throughout the United States.
