Metis launches Mcube - A Talent Enhancement School for students in Hubli

. The launch took place at their centre at, Kataria Trade Centre, Koppikar Road. It is the gap between the candidates's potential and the corporate's requirements that Metis strives to fill by moulding, mentoring, and mobilizing the talent in the student community by empowering certain skill sets required by the corporate by the means of Mcube Talent Enhancement School. This

will facilitate the corporate in finding industry ready talent.

The school will target students in the pre-final and final years of engineering colleges/MBA institutes/etc; and unemployed students.

Bringing forth the need for such a course and school, Rajesh Athihalli, CEO, Metis ERC India Pvt ltd, said, 'The aim of the course is to empower the students with knowledge and enhance their competency, confidence, self-belief and discipline'. Adding Further, he said, 'Mcube is an effort to bring to light the difficulties faced by the corporate in matters of recruiting the required talent. The ratio of employable talent in the Indian IT scenario is approximately 1:100. Effectively speaking therefore only about 15% of the student community is work place ready if we take into consideration other industries as well'.

M cube offers a two and a half month open program for fresh graduates. The training programmes focus on three verticals - technical, non technical (HR and administration) and retail sector. The course curriculum includes 6 modules to provide corporate with industry ready graduates. The modules cover topics such as attitude management, time management, self discipline and work-life balance, apart from giving guidance in business communication, presentation skills, business etiquette and organizational skills. It also helps in providing the necessary guideline for the group discussions, logical reasoning, quantitative analysis and resume writing.

The program has been formulated after intensive research based on feedback from clients. It will improve the quality and quantity of recruits resulting in lag less productivity and give the company a competitive edge. The main focal point of the program is to work in partnership with institutions to enhance employability through training and recruitment, ensure smooth transition for students from college to corporate life and bring relevance to his/her educational learning to business / corporate.

The school also offers placement assistance to students undergoing this training. The company plans to train around 2000 students in the year 2008 - 2009.
