2008-05-15 01:19:26 - Plus: UFC President Dana White, The Superhero Workout, LA-Anaheim Angel Torii Hunter, an interview with Gabrielle Union and much more

New York, N.Y. - The June/July '08 issue of Men's Fitness, which hits newsstands May 19th, features the magazine's annual list of The 25 Fittest Guys in America. And for the first time ever, the editors have selected one as the Fittest Guy in America. The winner? Tiger Woods! The world's premier golfer and perhaps most famous athlete was selected

'because of his commitment to being the best and setting the bar, not just for other golfers, but for all athletes.'

Also for the first time ever, the editors selected a ‘regular guy' for MF 25. Triathlete Ed Donner, 31, from Melbourne, Fla., was chosen from nominations submitted to mensfitness.com. Donner, an investment securities specialist, has a very unique training regimen and a 5,000-calorie diet!

Others on the 'fit list' include actors Will Smith, Daniel Craig, and Shemar Moore; athletes Brady Quinn, Chase Utley, and Dwight Howard; rappers Romeo Miller and Flo Rida; and television host Mark Steines.

And presidential hopeful Barack Obama.

As expected the double issue is packed with the kind of smart fitness, nutrition, and lifestyle information readers have come to expect from Men's Fitness.

On the cover: Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) President Dana White
(page 88)
This is just another indication that the once-controversial sport of mixed martial arts is now mainstream. In the issue, White discusses the tremendous growth of MMA and his resurrection of the premier organization, which was acquired by White and his investment group seven years ago. White endured weeks of rigorous training for the cover shoot, and reveals his workout and diet in the issue as well.

An interview with Gabrielle Union (page 44)
Union dishes on her childhood, what she notices on guys, who she thinks is the hottest athlete, and her-lesbian tendencies. 'If it means kissing, making out, or making love, let's show it!' says Union when asked about playing a lesbian in the past.

The Superhero Workout (page 94)
With blockbusters like Iron Man in theaters now and The Incredible Hulk set to hit theaters next month, this workout will show you how to develop the body of your favorite comic-book superhero. The Hulk will have nothing on you after this workout!

Surprise Muscle Foods (page 22)
Add variety to your grill with these high-protein substitutes for chicken and beef. Learn to grill Clams, Lobster, Venison, Ostrich and Swordfish. This is not your typical summer barbeque!

Plus:
• An All-Star Workout Regimen from Los Angeles Anaheim Angels outfielder Torii Hunter (page 133)
• Waterproof Gear-perfect for summer fun! (page 54)
• Taste Test - Cool Treats-Fruit Bars and Ice Cream, great for a summer day! (page 36)
• Fashion Feature in St. Lucia (page 98)
