Jack Callahan, MediNotes vice president of corporate development, will discuss future trends in healthcare information technology (HIT) during TEPR's session entitled 'The Next Generation of Medical Technology' (Tuesday, May 20 at 10:30 a.m. E.S.T.). Callahan's presentation focuses on the future of HIT in the ambulatory setting. He will outline current concerns surrounding perceived EHR security vulnerability, the political issues and national initiatives that might impact the HIT environment, and the need for physicians to embrace technology and encourage its adoption.
