"We realized almost immediately that using Delaware in our name gave the false impression of a small, local medical billing and coding company," said founder and CEO Jean-Marie M. Taylor, MSW. There is nowhere in the United States we can't serve as easily as if they were in our own offices."
Diamond was selected to replace the word "Delaware" because Delaware is known as the diamond state. Legend has it that Thomas Jefferson described Delaware as a "jewel" among states due to its strategic location on the Eastern Seaboard. For this reason, Diamond Medical Management Services alludes to the start of the company in Delaware, as well as its value among medical billing, medical billing software, and management service organizations.
