WHAT: To recognize the first-ever Pink's airport location to be
opening soon at LAX, Mayor Villaraigosa will taste test the
winning "LAX International Dog" recipe from among three
finalists, who were selected in a recent contest of Los Angeles
World Airport employees and airport tenants. The winning recipe
will be an official, featured menu item at the all-new Pink's
LAX, slated to open at the Tom Bradley International Terminal
in late 2009/early 2010. The selected contest winner will also
be featured on the famed Pink's celebrity wall at the historic
landmark location. This is part of Pink's 70th anniversary
celebration where the Mayor will also serve up 70-cent chili
cheese dogs from 7:00 pm for 70 minutes at Pink's Hot Dogs in
Los Angeles, with all proceeds going to charity.

VISUALS: Mayor Villaraigosa will get into the spirit of Pink's and taste
test the three finalists' hot dog entries, then don a Pink's
apron and serve up hot dogs to waiting customers. The finalists'
entries will be on display before the judging. Pink's expects
several hundred Pink's fans to wait in line for the 70-cent
chili cheese dogs (regular price is $3.50). A 1959 pink
Cadillac will be on display.
