OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 11/28/12 -- Her Excellency Sharon Johnston will deliver a keynote address at the third Edith Aston-McCrimmon Lecture Series on "The Adaptability of Rehabilitation Science: A Half-Century Perspective from a SPOT Grad" to School of Physical and Occupational Therapy (SPOT) faculty, students and alumni, on Thursday, November 29, 2012, at 4 p.m., at the McGill Faculty Club Ballroom (3450 McTavish Street, Montreal). The lecture will conclude with a question and answer period with invited guests.



In 1966, Mrs. Johnston completed her studies in physical and occupational therapy at the University of Toronto. Later, she completed a Bachelor of Science at the University of Western Ontario, a Master of Science at McGill University, and obtained her Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science at McGill University. As part of her role as spouse of the Governor General, Her Excellency is interested in initiatives that address and ease stigmas often attached to mental health issues, while focusing on family and children.
