- MDV1.tv based in Los Gatos, California now offers a new advertising medium to corporations by mobilizing their promotional video direct to the consumer's cell phone through SMS text messaging codes and alerts.

This technology is so cutting-edge that MDV1.tv recently worked with I-Flow Corporation of Lake Forest, Cal., to mobilize video demonstrating their flagship product, the ON-Q Pain

pump, during the American College of Surgeons 94th Conference held in San Francisco earlier this month.

MDV1.tv delivered video on I-Flow's ON-Q Pain pump direct to conference participants' mobile phones by using SMS text messaging alerts. "We were very pleased to have enabled attending surgeons to view I-Flow's promotional "on demand" video which explicitly showed how the pump infuses a constant stream of local anesthetic into surgical incisions, thus providing significant post-operative pain relief for patients," stated J.R. Bolanos, CEO of MDV1.tv.

The aim and purpose of MDV1.tv technology is to also enable traditional media to maximize the reach and effectiveness of their advertising campaigns.

By placing MDV1.tv's short code (mobile number) and SMS text "keyword" on traditional advertising outlets such as print, billboards, bus sides or bus shelter ads, the consumer can instantaneously access further information about that specific product just by SMS text messaging the code and keyword to view the video on their cell phone. "It's simple, inexpensive and the video quality is second to none. Our mobile video delivery service makes watching video on your handheld a reality, and our customers are delighted to have a new delivery medium for their marketing, advertisement and educational initiatives," said Dr Bolanos.

MDV1.tv's innovative technology dynamically mobilizes the video by transcoding to the correct format for video delivery on web enabled and video capable cell phones, otherwise known as Smart phones. The system quickly identifies the type and model of the consumer's cell phone, and customizes every video stream to that cell phone. "MDV1.tv is bringing mobile video marketing and education to the masses, one cell phone at a time," says Dr Bolanos.
