SIR PAUL McCARTNEY was so distracted by his recent troubles with estranged wife HEATHER MILLS, he became hopelessly lost whilst visiting an old friend. The ex-BEATLE was making the regular car journey to English musician JOOLS HOLLAND's house. He then became confused and had to be led by a cab driver to the Kent, southern England, address.
Taxi man PAUL O'LEARY says, "I couldn't believe it. He wound down his window and asked if I could tell him where the B200 (English road) was.
"I asked him where he was going and told him to follow me.
"I led him about four or five miles to Cooling Castle and then he got out and gave me £20 and an autograph. It was surreal. He seemed a really nice bloke."
