WALNUT CREEK, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/27/12 -- The MassMutual San Francisco staff recently rolled up their sleeves, donned work boots and volunteered to work on new Habitat for Humanity homes in the Pleasant Creek community in Walnut Creek. The volunteers from the Agency were the first to work at the site, which officially had its groundbreaking October 27.



This new Habitat for Humanity development will comprise 10 homes. Located at Barkley Avenue in Walnut Creek, the Pleasant Creek Homes were designed to be sustainable and energy efficient. The homes will be two-, three- and four-bedroom units on the site adjacent to a freeway on-ramp sound wall.



"We had a great team from the Agency who all wanted to give back to our community and what better way to do this than to help build these new homes, right near our offices," said Robert Fakhimi, CEO and President, MassMutual San Francisco. Over the two days that the Agency volunteered, approximately 25 advisors and staff worked on the project.
