December 1, 2011—Hartford, WI— The Schauer Arts & Activities Center in Hartford is proud to announce two performances of Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives with opening performer Suzy Bogguss on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 3:00 and 7:30 pm.

Grammy-winner Marty Stuart has shown a showman's zest for every conceivable flavor of country music. Marty began with gospel as a child, dabbled with bluegrass in the '70s, spent 6 years with Johnny Cash in the '80s, until he finally came up with his signature "hillbilly rock" hits of the '90s. Top 10 hits like Hillbilly Rock, Tempted, Little Things, and Burn Me Down, helped the singer-songwriter-instrumentalist earn countless nominations. Accompanied by His Fabulous Superlatives, Marty mixes bluegrass-inspired originals with

traditional honky tonk favorites.

The American music icon is also featured on the Marty Stuart Show, which is part of RFD-TV's Saturday night prime time lineup. Each show features music by Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives, as well as his wife Country Queen Connie Smith, and performance segments from the best that country music and American music has to offer.

Grammy and CMA award winner Suzy Bogguss is no stranger to the top echelons of country music. She has cracked the Top Five list eight times, with ingenuity and integrity as the hallmarks of a musical career that spans two decades, 13 studio albums, and countless miles on the road. Some of her Top Ten hits include Drive South, Hey Cinderella, Aces, and Outbound Plane. Her latest album American Folk Songbook is filled with songs that are the fabric of American musical history. Bogguss reclaims this history and revives it with a fresh take on classics like Shenandoah, Wayfaring Stranger, and Red River Valley.

Tickets to the Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives are $45 or $41 for adults, and $43 or $39 for students, and $41 for groups of 20 or more. Tickets go on sale to Friends of Schauer Center ONLY on Tuesday, December 6 at the Schauer Center Box Office in downtown Hartford. Friends are those who have made a minimum donation of $50 to the Schauer Center; individuals wishing to make a Friends donation may do so with their ticket purchase. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Thursday, December 8. Patrons are welcome to take numbers starting at 10:00 am; ticket sales will begin in person and over the phone at 11:30 am.

Knoll Theater and Suckow Family Art Gallery, the Schauer Arts & Activities Center is the Kettle Moraine’s regional center for the arts, staging professional touring performances, as well as shows by The Kettle Moraine Symphony, Hartford City Band, Hartford Community Chorus, The Hartford Players, and the Kettle Moraine Fine Arts Guild. The Schauer Center also offers visual and performing arts classes for all ages. Facilities are available to rent for social and business functions.
