By combining networked Markem-Imaje printers with integrated

CoLOS(R) software, customers can effectively match their work order to scanned or keyed GTIN, automatically updating their coding network with the correct information.

To ensure brand protection, barcode scanners and vision systems ensure legible codes on the packaging are printed and verified. Human errors, such as "fat finger" at the coder/printer level are eliminated. All information is easily entered at a centralized PC to ensure the user experience is consistent from one type of printer model to another. Reporting is also simplified as production and print counts per order are captured and optionally linked to ERP or WMS systems.

Additional, the Coding Integrity Solution is highly scaleable--it is each customer's decision at which point the solution should be integrated (to units, trays, cases, pallets, etc.). If need be, the solution can encompass complete production lines from units to pallets, or multiple production lines in each facility.

Because the system manages calculations for "best before" date codes required by retailers and regulators, as well as ensuring the code is verified with consistent information, customers can rely upon the system to print the right information all the time.

Customers can rest assured that the system complies with all GS1 (UCC-EAN) labeling standards while utilizing OPC open connectivity protocols. This allows the system to connect with PLCs, vision systems, scanners and other third party devices.
