CULVER CITY, Calif.—Nov. 11, 2009—AccessEN will sponsor a keynote presentation by acclaimed author and columnist Mark Gibbs on the Twitter phenomenon and the value of market intelligence that companies can glean from social network analysis on November 19, 2009 at 6:30 PM at Sony Pictures Plaza, 3910 Madison Ave, Culver City, Calif.

Gibbs’ featured presentation is entitled “To Tweet or Not

to Tweet (Or What I Had for Lunch)” and notes that saying Twitter is a phenomenon is to state the obvious. Everyone from people who run roach coaches to Dell Computer, from Hannah Montana to Oprah, from Rod Blagojevich to Bill Clinton is tweeting up a storm. Gibbs will explain what, exactly, is Twitter and why you should care. The long-time columnist, consultant to the stars, and peripatetic entrepreneur will delve with wild abandon into what Twitter is, how to use it, how not to use it, and explain its value and relevance to both the public and the enterprise.

Gibbs will also present a business case discussing whether businesses understand the market intelligence that can be gained from analysis of social networks and for those that do what metrics do they want and at what price. Specifically, he will talk about The Sentimeter Project, a system for determining near real-time sentiment on specific topics from social network services through linguistic analysis. The initial social focus is Twitter with other social networks including Facebook, MySpace, Identi.ca, etc., being added in short order. Future directions include extension to both personal and enterprise email to identify trends and interpersonal problems.

Featured Sponsored Charity: The Arnold C. Yoder Survivors Foundation

Presented by Mary Elizabeth Yoder, the Arnold C. Yoder Survivors Foundation is dedicated to empowerment with a two-fold mission: Healing hearts of children and their families whose lives have changed forever by the death of a loved one and helping survivors on both sides of tragic events towards achieving inner peace through forgiveness.

Having lost her father to a drunk driving accident 28 years ago, the founder’s life went dim until she finally created the proper environment to fully grieve her loss. She now realizes that on the other side of this story is another human being, a man who simply made a bad choice. The Foundation exists to create avenues for empowering other survivors on their journey to heal, forgive and to be contributions to humanity.

The Arnold C. Yoder Survivors Foundation honors and encourages the safe expression of grief and loss into a time where forgiveness of self and others may become possible. They provide a loving community where each child’s own resiliency and emotional well being maybe developed and discovered through peer support groups and art therapy. Their community outreach provides education and resources for anyone who supports the bereaved.

Admission to the event is $45 for non-members with a two-for-one special. Space is limited; pre-registration may be required to ensure seating. Register online at www.accessen.org/.

AccessEN sponsors include Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth; The Center Club; CyberianSoft; and Daly-Swartz Public Relations.
