The 'Thirteen' actress, who began dating the Goth rocker shortly after his wife Dita Von Teese filed for divorce last December, says Manson's best quality is his penchant for thick black eyeliner.
When asked to sum up Manson's appeal in one word, Wood told Elle magazine: 'Eyeliner. If you've ever dated me, then you would have ended up wearing eyeliner at some point. All my boyfriends have.' The 19-year-old star says Manson, 38, is 'crazy' and claims their relationship blossomed through their mutual love of films.
Wood explained: 'Manson is lovely, really human and just amazing. It may surprise you just how healthy and loving our relationship is.
'He's crazy! And crazy, by the way, is the highest compliment I pay. Manson is definitely crazy. Hopefully I am, too. 'We became movie buddies until one night when we suddenly looked into one another's eyes and knew.' However, the young actress claims she doesn't share Manson's love of drinking.
Wood said: 'I am hopeless at drinking. I'm not saying I'm an angel, I just don't have an addictive personality. Even today, when I am with Manson, I'm happier staying at home watching movies.' The star - whose relationship with Manson was reported to be a factor in Dita's decision to leave Manson - also believes it is unfair she has been attacked for simply 'falling in love'.
She said: 'I've seen blogs where I've been called a sl*t, a w***e, that say I should be condemned to death simply because I've fallen in love. Surely the fact that we are both prepared to go through all this proves just how important - and real - our love is, no? Everyone is so worried that I'm losing myself but really I'm finding myself. I've never been more comfortable in my own skin.'
