Los Angeles, CA – 7-13-2013 (JoeDolanPR): Mott the Hoople has been the airplay subject of countless FM radio giants for years with their recording of the Bowie penned classic “All The Young Dudes,” and have recently posted UK tour dates for November 2013. On November 18th, longstanding fan favorite artists Marillion will take the stage to celebrate the continuing legacy of both their and Ian Hunter’s career spans. The show offers the splendor that has consistently launched Marillion into the stratosphere of cult level status in year after years live performances and CD releases.
After a successful swim in the American venue circuit in 2012, Marillion delivered performances and subsequent recordings of their 12-date tour in the US, including the sold
out 2-night shows at Hollywood’s famous House of Blues. Touring in support of the 2013 CD release titled “Sounds That Can’t Be Made,” the band has hit new career highs with this, the 17th studio album released under the Marillion moniker. The album has charted in the UK at number 43 ahead of artists that haven’t seen a snippet of the professional regime Marillion has developed to create the music that they do. The result has done more than put the band on stage with fellow legends Mott the Hoople; it has offered Marillion nominations in four categories during 2013 Prog Music Awards, including Artist Of The Year!
The shared stage performance at the London O2 on the 18th will bring a culmination of scheduled November dates for both Mott the Hoople and Marillion.
