GPS Battle continues. Google has enhanced its Maps Street View with an offer on all phones, including iPhone.
After Apple has decided not to integrate Google Maps in iOS 6 to offer its own application, developed in conjunction with TomTom, Google is looking at a solution not to lose the iPhone users. He seems they have found a way.
Now, Street View is integrated in the Web version of the mapping service. To take advantage of Apple's smartphone, simply launch Safari in Google and do a search for an address until the Street Wiew logo appears on your device. Our test on an iPhone running iOS 5 6 worked perfectly. Same on an iPhone 4S running iOS 5.
This solution should satisfy those who were afraid to update from iOS 5 to iOS 6 and were afraid of not having
a sufficiently good GPS tool. Their fear was well founded since the Apple CEO had to apologize for the poor quality of its Maps application. Well, now users have a solution in hand.
