Magellan Solutions Outsourcing Inc., a Philippine-based inbound call center, reached out to 65 families whose houses were razed by fire last December 25, 2012.
In the wake of tragedy that left residents of St. Joseph in San Juan City homeless during the Christmas season, team members from the company’s Culture Committee, Marketing and Human Resources Departments immediately extended their assistance to this district.
“The fire disaster victims in St. Joseph needed help. Magellan Solutions Outsourcing Inc. responded and coordinated with the district’s captain Mr. Ruel Sumaguinsing and his hardworking team led by district secretary Mr. Gilbert Labradores; district treasurer Ms. Jenelyn Nava; and district health worker Ms. Vangie Borromeo at the height of calamity by providing relief goods that are being
brought to families who lost their homes because of a huge fire during the holidays,” said Ms. Roslyn Ong of Human Resources. As part of its community service initiatives, Magellan Solutions organized an event at the Hall of Corazon de Jesus district in San Juan City, and gave away hundreds of gift bags containing groceries and other indispensable items.
The distribution of gift bags was led by Magellan Solutions Outsourcing Inc.’s Culture Committee members Misses Irene Marce and Roslyn Ong, both from Human Resources Department. Other volunteers in this outreach were Ms. Marvic Cheng, another Culture Committee member, and Mr. Christian Morales from the Online Marketing Department.
“Magellan Solutions Outsourcing Inc. is always open to working with communities in nearby districts and cities particularly during disasters as part of the company’s outreach programs. In these times, coordination of efforts remains important to ensure that we are providing the help needed by people as soon as possible,” Ong said.
