Rapper LL COOL J has signed a lucrative deal with US network CBS to develop his own drama series.
The star, real name TODD SMITH, was highly sought after by a number of networks after he made an impressive guest appearance on the hit TV series HOUSE last autumn (05).
The CONTROL MYSELF singer was busy promoting his new album at the time, but the slew of offers and a reported seven figure contract convinced him to return to TV.
LL Cool J had a regular role on the TV series IN THE HOUSE in the 1990s and has also starred in feature films ANY GIVEN SUNDAY and LAST HOLIDAY.
