2009-05-07 13:18:44 - Lipstick Chroniclez, Inc. lends their support to The Southern Rock Society Band of South Florida, to help keep the spirit of Southern Rock Music alive.

Each issue of Lipstick Chroniclez features a band of musical talent to share with the community of South Florida. We are proud to announce that we will be featuring, Southern Rock Society Band in our next issue.

Lipstick Chroniclez had the exclusive pleasure of attending the “Wings of Gold” Stars and Stripes Dice Party, at the Round Up in Davie, on Sunday, April 26th. “I was not only honored with the chance to see Southern Rock Society Band on stage jamming to some of my favorite ole time tunes of Skynard, Molly Hatchet, ZZ Top and more… I was double dosed with another Southern Rock Band, “Rambler.” Both bands performing on stage bringing back the best of the finest in Southern Rock Music,” says Debbie Solomon, President of Lipstick Chroniclez, Inc.
The event brought in over 1,000 bikers and avid Southern Rock fans for an afternoon of fun, food and adventure. It would not be complete without

the Wet T-Shirt Contest, Tattoo Contest, Hot Body Contest and Raffles, which are the makings for a true experience with Wings of Gold. We were also honored with the presence of Davie Mayor and Judy Paul, who participated with the 50/50 raffle, offering many prizes to the patrons who attended. Larry Moskowitz, a local attorney, who maintains his office in Davie and founder of Swig Bartini in Weston, said, ” I was always impressed on how they did things at this Davie location. Often my staff and I would go there for some good ol' fun.”
“The SRS band has had the honor of touring and performing with some of our heroes. For example, in late 2007, the SRS band was a part of two city, three show tours, with Dennis Winters and the Winters Brothers Band, along the West Coast of Florida. In the summer of 2008, the SRS band played the Jam-A-Que, near Nashville, TN, with JoJo Billingsley (of Lynyrd Skynyrd) who sang with us on all the Southern Rock songs. In addition, the SRS band performed a few of JoJo's songs from her CD. During that same show, singing with us was Keith Landry (of ToTo and Lee Greenwood). Keith was a special guest at the Jam-A-Que, that had the SRS band learn some of his favorite songs to perform with him, as his band!” explains Wolfgang guitarist and vocalist of SRS. “As much as we love to be the Southern Rock Society Band, we still remain focused as the founders and driving force behind the Southern Rock Society. It is the society that is focused on promoting many southern rock bands, performers, and their music through participating and sponsoring music related events, working with venues, and music business executives to keep our style of music available to a growing number of listeners, for now and for generations to come. The Southern Rock Society was launched right here in south Florida by us, and has over 1,500 members world-wide, in areas including most of the United States and many of the countries around the world,” says Wolfgang.
