SAN JOSE, Calif., Jan. 14, 2013 – 454 Life Entertainment announced today the signing of A-Dough, a 25-year-old upcoming Polynesian artist, to a multi-year record contract. With the deal completed, A-Dough will be added to a roster of artists that include: Drew Deezy, Thai, Nump, IZ, Cam, Nitty and recent signees Cutthroat Mode Clicc. His most recent work can be heard on Drew Deezy’s “The Poly Tape,” appearing on tracks such as: Get It Today, Tonight, My Life My Pain and Drink It Down.
A-Dough said, “454 is the best fit for me. I don’t like the politics of the music business, so it’s good to have a label that will take care of that for me now,” and he added, “It’s a family environment over there. Genuine love over there – everything’s authentic.”
“We’ve been fans of A-Dough’s work since even before The Poly Tape so we’re excited to have him become a part of the family.” said Chris Luu, Chairman and CEO. “Fans can expect to hear new material from him very soon.”
Born and raised on the Eastside of San Jose, A-Dough got his start with music in the 7th grade after writing a poem for his grandfather, who had just passed away.
Upon hearing the poem, his older brother took him to the local Boys & Girls Club of America where he further developed his talent. Today, with a solid fan base and foundation already established, A-Dough aims to expand his reach to a whole new audience with 454 Life Entertainment’s support. His sound can be described as a “soulful struggle.”
