Lee & Associates, one of the largest commercial real estate firms in the country, has taken another important step in its aggressive expansion plans, opening an office in New Jersey and establishing an East Coast presence.

The New Jersey office, located at 150 Clove Road in Little Falls, will be headed up by Rick Marchisio and Brian Lynch. This office brings

Lee & Associates to 39 locations across the nation.

“New Jersey now gives us a nationwide platform. The synergies created by having presence in two of the largest markets in the United States are invaluable. Added to that is the reputation and track record of Rick and Brian. We could not be more delighted with them and the outstanding group they have assembled,” said Edward Indvik, chairman of the Lee Advisory Board. “This is the first of many locations we anticipate on the East Coast as we continue our strategic plans for growth in other regions of the country as well as the areas we already serve.”

With almost 50 years of industry experience between them, Marchisio and Lynch as managing partners will provide a strong anchor for Lee’s expansion plans. For Marchisio, who was formerly managing director of Grubb & Ellis Company New Jersey, his decision to join Lee and help open this office was an easy one to make.

“The hallmark of Lee & Associates is the quality and dedication of its professionals and their entrepreneurial spirit. They get the job done, and I wanted to be a part of that. Everyone I’ve had the opportunity to meet across the country is a true professional, client-focused and results-driven. Partnering with Brian and joining forces with Lee & Associates is by far a highlight of my career,” said Marchisio.

At Grubb & Ellis New Jersey, where he worked since 1996, Marchisio was responsible for all the company’s service lines including brokerage, property management, consulting and project and construction management.

Before that, he was an industrial broker with Bussel Realty Corp., New Jersey.

Lynch, who is the other managing principal of Lee’s New Jersey office, was the former president and founder of Commercial Realty Associates (CRA), a well-respected firm in New Jersey that provided a full complement of services to the area’s market since it began operation in 1995. It’s this experience with CRA that Lynch believes will help define Lee’s New Jersey office.

“Many firms refer to themselves as full service, meaning they are full service ‘brokerage’ operations. Lee & Associates in New Jersey will have as its core, traditional brokerage services across all specialty lines including industrial, office, retail, investment and land,” said Lynch.

In addition, Lee will provide critical ancillary services which will include property and facility management, construction management and architecture. Our Corporate Services Group, headed by former New York Times corporate real estate director Herbert W. Valentine, provides a spectrum of services for the corporate occupier of space including lease audit and administration, strategic planning and financial analysis.

Lynch added: “We are a new and refreshing alternative in New Jersey, but we’re not a startup by any stretch. CRA has been doing business throughout northern and central New Jersey almost 15 years, so our depth of resources and intellectual capital is in place. Becoming a part of Lee allows us to greatly expand our operations and offer so much more to clients.”

The Lee New Jersey team also includes Jason Lynch, operations manager, and a full complement of property management, corporate services, marketing and architectural personnel.

Said Marchisio: “Because of the unique structure, entrepreneurial nature and stability of the company, interest in joining our brokerage division is keen. Since opening for business as Lee in April, we are adding brokers at a fast clip.”

In this last month, Lee New Jersey has made some important additions including veteran industrial brokers Bob Shuster, Terry Armstrong, and the lasted hire, senior industrial broker Michael Schaible, who has spent more than 28 years in the New Jersey office of Charles Klatskin Company’s Teterboro.

“Michael is one of the Meadowlands’ premier industrial brokers. There are only a very few who know this turf like Michael,” said Marchisio, adding that his firm is in various stages of dialogue with a number of prominent brokers in both the office, retail, investment and industrial practices. “There are plans in place to add a central New Jersey office and we are currently seeking the right strategic location for that move,” Marchisio said.

The New Jersey office phone number is: 973-337-1144.
