Leading European telecom giant sets up office in Dubai Airport Free Zone

ALCAD, SA, a leading European multinational company involved in telecommunications and the manufacture of satellite and terrestrial products and door entry systems has opened its Middle East office at the Dubai Airport Free Zone.

'The strategic location of Dubai as an important hub in the GCC and Middle East and the convenience of the location and superior facilities offered by the

Dubai Airport Free Zone, make it an easy decision for multinationals to base their Middle East offices here,' said Dr. Mohammed Al Zarouni, Director General, Dubai Airport Free Zone. 'We continuously find ways to improve our services and our facilities for the benefit of the top companies operating in the Free Zone. We understand that these multinational companies wish to tap the 1.5 billion consumers in the region,' he said.

'Since its creation in 1988, ALCAD has aimed at maintaining a permanent contact with our customers and embarked on an evolutionary process to support its worldwide expansion. This explains why ALCAD has Branches everywhere in Spain, Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania today,' said Mr. Antonio Maria Galarza, Manager, Alcad Middle East FZE.

'Our effort and professionalism led us to being awarded the Registered Company Certificate in accordance with ISO 9001 and since 2002 we have a new headquarters that extends to over 16,000 sq. m. in Irún (Guipúzcoa), Spain.'

In 1997 Alcad completed the development of Home Automation Equipment and recently launched a new line of Entry phones, Videophones and Intercommunication products.

The company manufactures and markets products for TV reception and distribution in individual and MATV installations for terrestrial as well as satellite systems using digital or analogue cable reception.
