2013-02-03 07:42:26 - 3rd Annual Global Refining Technology to be held in Doha, Qatar will gather refinery experts from across the globe to deliberate on the latest developments in refining. The conference will be held from 29 April – 1 May at Sharq Village and Spa - Doha, Qatar.

Refineries world over are facing various challenges when it comes to utilizing resources to cope up with the economy changes, varying regulatory standards and optimizing processes while maximizing productivity. To overcome these challenges, refineries are now focusing on new technologies and innovations to optimize operations and maximize profits.

According to a recent article featured by Kuwait News Agency, Kuwait Petroleum International has ventured into a deal wherein it will partner in the construction of Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical – NSRP. The refinery will be working at a capacity of 200,000 barrels per day with the crude oil being imported from Kuwait Petroleum Corporation – KPC. Vietnam despite being Southeast Asia's third-largest producer of crude oil has always relied on imported oil

products because of less number of refineries. The refinery would help in meeting the local demand.

National Iranian Oil Engineering Company (NIOEC) recently completed the expansion and upgradation of Shazand Imam Khomeini Refinery in Arak, Iran. The output of the refinery is expected to double in the next four weeks' time when the refinery is due for complete development and operations. The refinery which started at an in-take capacity of 170,000 thousand barrels of crude per day will expand its operations to more than 250 thousand barrels per day. The Managing Director of NIOEC is confident it has acquired the necessary resources and skills to build refineries overseas with the completion of this refinery.

3rd Annual Global Refining Technology Forum organized by Fleming Gulf Conferences will gather refinery experts from across the globe to deliberate on the latest developments in refining. The 3 day conference will feature interactive panel discussions and case studies by industry experts.
