www.larkinstreetyouth.org/ - Larkin Street Youth Services, San Francisco's leading provider of housing and supportive services for homeless and at-risk youth ages 12 to 24, announced today that it named Ray Fort as its Chief Financial Officer. Fort originally joined Larkin Street as Controller in October 2007, bringing with him over 15 years of experience in Corporate, Governmental
and Non-Profit finance and management.
"Larkin Street's operations deliver a diverse mix of educational, medical, social and job training services across 13 sites and 23 programs supported by our complex funding base. This presents unique fiscal management challenges," said Sherilyn Adams, Larkin Street's Executive Director. "Ray's deep understanding of our organization and our funding requirements makes him particularly well qualified to successfully address these priorities."
Prior to Larkin Street, Fort worked in New Zealand where he served as Financial Controller for the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry. Fort has also worked at the Every Child Can Learn Foundation, the non-profit arm of the San Francisco Unified School District, where he served as the Director of Finance and most recently, the Interim Executive Director. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Indiana University.
