- LandCap Partners Caroline Shaw, 310-867-3314 LandCap Partners, a national residential land partnership, closed its first purchase of residential land on June 30, 2008. The purchase includes 252 single family lots in two master planned communities of the Smokey Hill Corridor in Aurora, Colorado, south east of Denver. The land was acquired from Quadrant Investment Group, a private equity firm

based in Miami. The acquisition marks the first land purchase since LandCap Partners was formed in November 2007.

"An important part of our business model is to control the risk of land development and home building in this down market. This acquisition will afford home builders the opportunity to purchase this valuable land when the timing is right for them and for their customers. We also have the ability to sell the fully entitled land in one or more transactions to one or more builders."
