Louisiana Lt. Governor Jay Dardenne is announcing Louisiana's 2013 tourism
campaign, a series of 30-second television commercials and print and Web
advertisements. The ads will run throughout 2013, during which Lt. Governor
Dardenne has chosen to focus on Louisiana music as a tourism attraction. The ads
can be viewed at www.LouisianaTravel.com/2013.
"Music is the soul of Louisiana and it's one of the many passions to draw people
to the state, so we decided to focus on our substantial music legacy this year,"
Lt. Governor Dardenne said. "Whatever we can do to entice people to Louisiana
means more jobs to the state."
The ads were created by Trumpet, a New Orleans-based advertising firm under
contract with the Office of Tourism. The ads will run in San Antonio, Austin,
Dallas, Houston, Little Rock, Memphis, Atlanta and Chicago. Chicago represents a
new market for Louisiana Tourism, in an effort to expand "fly-in" tourism in
Louisiana.
