2009-07-10 06:16:32 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Los Angeles, CA June 1, 2009- Grant Langston announces the release of his new record titled, "Stand Up Man". The album will be released August 4th on his own independent label, MSG records. The record release party will be held August 2nd at The Echo in Los Angeles, CA.

Grant Langston with the help of his band, The Supermodels and other friends, has fused his love of outlaw country and contemporary rock and mixed in quirky lyrics and a biting witticisms to come up with the record, "Stand Up Man". You can hear the influences of country greats, Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard and Willie Nelson captured on the record

with guitar work that rocks like The Eagles or Lynrd Skynrd. Langston's lyrics on the 11 song "Stand Up Man" are heartfelt, yet irreverent and serve as the soundtrack to stompin' roadhouses, "movie" brawls, and love willingly lost and days later asked pleadingly back. The album leans toward guitar-driven melodies and down-home arrangements mixed in with an earthy country twang that will leave you wanting to see this band live.

As a testament to Langston's humor (and sincerity) Stand Up Man will also use a unique pricing model starting with free downloads, $7 CDs and leading to a $10,000 package that includes a back yard show by Grant and his band, an iPod, electric guitar, clothing and a custom song written for the buyer.

"(Grant Langston is) a singer it's easy to believe in and one it's even easier to live with...this is a band that loves playing country music and riding it as hard as it can."
- Maverick Magazine

"Once you've become absorbed by this songwriter's ability to tell a story with a sharp wit and twangy tongue, you're sold. (Grant Langston and band) provide the bridge between old-school country and contemporary exponents of Americana like Ryan Adams"
