Nation’s Largest Grocery Retailer Joins Feb. 11 Event To Offer CPR Theater, Blood/Glucose Screenings And Heart Healthy Cooking Demos
RALEIGH, N.C. – The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR) ( www.kroger.com/), the nation’s largest traditional grocery retailer with 16 stores throughout the Triangle and North Carolina, has announced that it has partnered with Duke Heart Center to host Save-a-Life Fair, a free, family-oriented health education event, on Saturday, Feb. 11, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Embassy Suites on 201 Harrison Oaks Blvd. in Cary, N.C. Activities will include bystander CPR sessions for the family, heart health risk factor screenings of blood and glucose for adults, a health fair, and heart healthy cooking demonstrations. Children will have an opportunity to participate in Kids Zumba with a national Zumba expert as well. Pharmacists, dieticians, Chef Alan Panzer from Kroger’s Apex
store at US 64 Highway West, and other healthcare volunteers will be on hand to offer tips and training for heart health and bystander CPR.
