/ Dayton-Cincinnati-Columbus, OH - March 27,2013 -- After more than three decades of continuous operation, Krispin’s Contemporary Furniture, one of Ohio’s most prestigious home furnishings dealers, is Going out of business and closing its doors forever.

Home Center Furniture Inc. DBA Krispin’s Contemporary Furniture was founded in 1978 by Dan and Becky Grubb. The company is now owned and operated by the Employees through an employee Stock Ownership Plan that creates a very strong team environment. Krispin’s Contemporary Furniture is distinguished by offering its customers the highest quality merchandise packaged with outstanding values and unparalleled service.

They have established a following of thousands of satisfied patrons throughout Ohio and surrounding states. Generations of families have traveled to this destination for their unique selection of contemporary home furnishings, collectable accents, and the personal service provided by Krispin’s most experienced and knowledgeable designers.

The decision to close Krispin’s Contemporary Furniture was made by Dan Grubb and his wife Becky. Dan Grubb stated, "Our almost acre of showroom and warehouse has been second home to us and our friends and neighbors. Our decision to close the business was difficult. Krispin’s Contemporary Furnishings has been a part of the history in Centerville and we have loved being a part of so many families' lives. But the world is changing and there comes a time to move on.
Becky and I have decided to retire while we can still offer our customers the outstanding quality merchandise and uncompromising service that we have always provided since we started this business." Dan Grubb went on to assure all customers that Krispin’s will complete all existing orders, with all warranties and service agreements being honored.

Dan Grubb continued his comments by saying: "The doors to our Going Out of Business-Final Liquidation will open promptly at 10:00 AM on Thursday April 4th. While inventory remains, we will offer reductions on every item in our inventory up to 75% off. These large discounts will be our way of thanking our loyal customers for their years of support. While inventory remains, customers can choose from such well-known manufacturers as Bernhardt, Lexington, Elite, Precedent, American Leather, DIA and many more. We also will have many unique accessories, collectable objects of art and fine quality hand made oriental rugs. This will be a FANTASTIC limited time event!! Over $2 million dollars of inventory will be liquidated as quickly as possible at the lowest prices in our store's history!!"

Many members of the Employee Stock Ownership Plan will be working at the store to say "thanks for the memories" and insure that each customer receives the same personalized attention that Krispin’s Contemporary Furniture has provided for more than a third of a century. Dan Grubb continued his comments by saying: "We have been so gratified by the wonderful support our customers have given us over these many years. That's why we've decided to offer our customers once in a life time price reductions on every item in our inventory. The values will be unlike any we've ever had in the store's history and better than any other store holding a "sale" in the area. While inventory remains, the Krispin's Store Closing Event will provide our customers the opportunity to own the finest home furnishings, accents and collectables, at unique savings. We really appreciate the loyalty of our customers and we will show our gratitude through this event."

The Krispin’s Contemporary Furniture Going-Out-of-Business-Total Liquidation will begin promptly at 10:00 AM on Thursday April 4th, at 528 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Centerville, and will continue until all merchandise is sold. Crowd control and organized parking is anticipated. Advisors to the event will be Northbrook, Illinois based Deere Park Association, recognized as one of the nation's most prestigious and respected furniture specialist consultants. According to Dan Grubb, "Because of our desire to insure we took care of all of our customers properly, we sought out a consulting company to insure our event was done right. Deere Park Association was clearly the best furniture consultant to help us with this event. We have built our reputation one satisfied customer at a time and we wanted a consultant to help us that would continue this tradition until every item in our inventory has found a home.
